The Master by Kresley Cole

Holy Goodness.
It has been days since I finished the book, actually, but I think it is better this way. If I'd started writing the review right after.... well, it wouldn't be very meaningful.
Maybe the bes is if I try to categorize my thoughts.

The HERO: This sexy Russian politician slash mafia leader is a dominant, arrogant, scarred outside and inside, but the sex-on-legs type of a male. I just loved how his personality developed and opened to his Katya, and with her, to us. There were times when he seemed rude and even cruel toward the end, but it is understandable if we think about his POV. That is why it would have been interesting to see what did he think exactly. But in the end, he is a devoted alphamale with lots of sweet actions.

The HEROINE: I have to say, Cat has become one of my favorite heroines of all time. I was curious about her since even Kresley Cole herself said that she is a favorite. I loved her. So young with a lot of problems and deep secrets already, but still, she could stay strong and ambitious and lovely. She didn't whine, just figured out a way that she thought was best to solve her issues. In my opinion, all her actions and feelings remained believable during the whole story. I simply loved her sense of humor and tricks (The thong with the bell scene. 'Nuff said.).

Together: The chemistry is so hot it practically melts the pages and Nooks and Kindles. And panties. Their back and forth talk was incredible, smiles broke on almost every occasion. I'd like to believe that there is such pure WANT in the real world that two persons just can't get their hands off of each other. They couldn't say no to one another, even if they wanted. Especially in dirty talk times. It was kind of freaking sexy. I always enjoy it when the MC is from different cultures, and in this case, it didn't disappoint, either.

The PLOT: Though the main plot took place in the second half / third of the book, I think it wasn't too bad a thing. I loved how the problems solved , even if it wasn't such a big surprise.

The OTHERS: I really enjoyed seeing the first book's couple, Aleks and Natalie in their happy glory. I always like if a writer visits previous characters. Jess has become a favorite of mine, I think there's much more to her than what she shows.

All in all, it was a great book with a great MC, I think it is better than the first one. Definitely a could-not-put-down.
I hope the third brother, Dimitri will have a story, too. He's maybe the most hurt of all of them, and I'd really like to see how Kresley solves his very life.

5 Stars!
