Poetic Review - Angel Unchained by Sasha Corvyn

An emotionless warrior. An ethereal vampiress.

Korban Gabriel has never known emotion. As the leader of the Angelus, he is tasked with keeping his brethren in line, forced to suffer unimaginable punishment for any wrongdoing. His duty to the gods is his purpose.
He has felt nothing at all…

Until he sees her. A vampiress who is supposed to be his enemy.

Raine Zar is one of the heirs to the vampire throne in the Underworld. She has never had any choice in her destiny, her existence stagnating.

She is drawn to Korban unlike any other, her craving for his immortal blood tantalising. There is no denying the connection they share, or the passion that burns below the surface.

When a demon foe tracks Raine to use against the stoic angel, Korban is forced to protect the vampiress. With the odds stacked against them, Raine has no choice but to trust Korban with her life…

This book is Sasha Corvyn's fourth installment

In an extraordinary series called Immortal Sentinels.

It is paranormal romance with mythological elements,

Where gods, angels, vampires and more are in residence.

The focus is on the main couple, which in this case

Consists of an angel, Korban, and a turned vampire, Raine.

Both are very likeable, and also unique in their own species,

But the reasons, to avoid spoilers, I will not reveal.

What I can say is that you should read their story with caution,

At least prepare your heart for significant sexual tension.

Because these two make the pages burn with passion,

While the dear reader almost dies with anticipation.

I like the enemies-to-lovers theme, for which the series sets a standard,

And the interesting side characters, be friend, foe, or a phantom steward.

Some of them we meet in the other books, so in that regard,

While this can be read as a stand alone, I advise to read the first, and go forward.

I received a copy of this book from the author.
